Though the Berd Women’s Resource Center Foundation’s family is diverse among backgrounds, expertise, geographies and ages, they are united through the same passion and vision: Inspiration, Empowerment and Sustainability for each woman of our Family.
Founder and Director
A Berd native, She returned home after receiving her Master’s in Journalism at Yerevan State University in order to bring positive change to her community. She founded BWRCF in 2011 and oversees the projects being implemented by BWRC.
Founder and Manager of Berd Bear project
One of the original members of Sister Hanna’s handicraft group, she also leads trainings on knitting and assembly techniques.
She manages quality control and coordinates shipping of out products from Berd.
She manages book-keeping of BWRC and sometimes joins the chrochetters, as one of her hobbies is chrochetting!

Responsible for orders and storing the products.
She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia and worked with BWRCF from 2011-2013. Back in the US and living in Chicago, she now serves as a board member and continues to advise on business development for Berd Bears. She misses her Berd family, but is happy to help build bridges to the US market in her new role for the project.
Kristen was a Community and Youth Development Volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in Armenia(2014-2015). She also served in Berd and brought many positive changes while working with the women of BWRC.
