“Rehabilitation of arable lands through reconstruction of tertiary irrigation system, provision of farming machinery and enhancing local capacity in sustainable land management in Tavush community of Tavush region” was done jointly with Fund for Armenian Relief, financed by the UNDP in Armenia, in the frame of the GEF program(June 2014-August 2015).

As it was planned by the project, the tertiary irrigation system of Tavush village was reconstructed with 4.8 km, farming machinery was provided to the community members and six training moduls were implemented on sustainable land management, organic farming, clean environment and community capacity building.

It is important, that the project beneficiaries were mainly women, who are now involved in community decision making processes and small business initiatives.
